Music

Music is a great gift from God, and we want to make the most of it, both in our devotion to him and as we tell others about him.
We aim for quality; we love variety; and we seek to be passionate with love for Jesus Christ and for those around us.

Our Choir serves regularly at the 9.15am and monthly Evensong services, and for special occasions such as our Christmas Carols. It is open to people from the age of seven to a hundred. At the weekly Trebles rehearsal (4.30-5.45pm on Thursdays) we aim to give the younger members a thorough and enjoyable grounding in singing, music theory and faith in Jesus. The whole choir rehearses every Friday evening from 7.30-9.00pm.

The Music Group serves regularly at the 10.45am and 6:30pm services. We welcome competent vocalists and instrumentalists who cover a variety of musical styles, and there is a rota arrangement for Sunday services. Rehearsals aim to be devotional and prayerful, and are on Tuesday evenings from 8.00-9.30pm.

Music Hub is for our Two:42 and 24/7 youth groups and meets monthly on Sunday afternoons. We encourage our musically talented youth in growing and developing in their gifts and understanding of leading music in church. When ready the young people join with the Music Group and in our Sunday services.

We are always happy to welcome new members to all our groups.

We also have ad hoc choirs for events such as Prom Praise in the Royal Albert Hall with the All Souls Orchestra or special occasions in church life.
