St Richards

St Richard’s, the sister church of All Saints, can be found on Fermor Road on the bend that meets with Walshes Road. The church seeks to serve the Alderbrook estates and immediate area, but we have others in the church who come from further afield! St Richard’s has a reputation for being a very friendly and homely church where a warm welcome can be found each Sunday morning for worship and during the many and varied weekly activities for all age-groups.

Under the leadership of our new Minister, the Revd Ben Thorndike, St Richard’s seeks to welcome anyone from the area to share in a very full programme of services, activities and events. Our aim is to make our building a focal point for the community around us, by being active in meeting the spiritual and social needs of those we come into contact with.

In the 11.00am Sunday service, we aim to provide worship and teaching for all ages. Holy Communion is generally on the third Sunday of each month. These dates can change depending on the time of the year. The remaining Sundays provide a structured but relaxed service of Morning Worship, lasting about an hour.

Our Sunday afternoon service Sunday@4 is held on the first Sunday of each month.
