PASTORAL CARE
At All Saints we devote ourselves to loving one another. We believe that loving relationships are the best context for people to discover Jesus and discover life and so we want to grow into a community of self-giving love.
Small Groups
Often the most effective pastoral care takes place within small groups where friendships can lead to encouragement and practical support. There are also specific groups for people who are retired and also for those caring for people with dementia. For those not able to be in a small group, members of the pastoral team are available to help (see below). For more information on small groups, please contact Adam Thrift 01892 652081 x 1003.
Pastoral Team
The Pastoral Team assists the church leaders in offering support to those in need within the church family. Team members are on hand to help, encourage and pray as appropriate. They may visit the sick in hospital or at home, the elderly or housebound; accompany people to appointments or give lifts; offer practical help where requested; listen, encourage and pray; or signpost to other agencies or support workers where appropriate. All members of the Pastoral Team have done Basic and Foundation Safeguarding training and have DBS clearance.
If you would like a member of the pastoral team to visit, please contact Charlotte Grimwade via the church office 01892 652081.
Biblical Counselling
We want to be a church family who love and care for one another well. Sometimes circumstances of life mean we need some extra help. There are a couple of members of the pastoral team who have undertaken training in Biblical counselling who are available to walk with you through a particular problem, area of struggle, pain or suffering. Other Pastoral Care
We also have small teams visit the residential care homes within the parish to lead a short service once a month and a dedicated hospital team visits Crowborough Hospital weekly.
Prayer Focus mobilises a small group of pray-ers for urgent needs and there are always two people designated after every service to pray with people. If you would like more information about Prayer Focus, please contact Susan Potts via the church office 01892 652081.
